Real answers. Honest support.

Moving to Germany? Start with answers.

Moving your career and life to Germany is a big decision. Get clear, honest answers about what to expect, what you need, and what comes next. Can’t find your answer? Message me — I’m a nurse who built Fliyon to make your journey clear, simple, and easy to navigate.

1 · Costs & support

Yes — completely free. Employers pay our fee after a successful permanent placement, so our guidance never costs you anything. We will never deduct fees from your salary or ask you for placement payments.
No. You pay your own official document costs — translations, police clearances, government visa fees — but you will never pay us for guidance or employer introductions.
Moving countries comes with unexpected costs, so we provide every successfully placed nurse with up to €1,000 in Welcome Support, paid directly to you in three stages: €250 upon arrival in Germany, €250 after your first month of work, and €500 after completing six months of employment. The full conditions are on our Grant Terms page.

2 · Qualifications & language

You will usually need German at B1 or B2 level already. German healthcare depends on precise communication for patient safety. A B1/B2 certificate shows employers you are ready — and it is a key requirement in the recognition process.
No. Having it is an advantage, but it is a complex process — we introduce you to employers who are experienced with international staff, and we guide you through your Anerkennung so it feels manageable.
We focus mainly on qualified registered nurses (Pflegefachkraft / Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger) and specialised staff — such as ICU, OR, and paediatric nurses — looking for permanent, long-term roles.
I can recommend good language schools and effective learning paths. However, I don’t run language courses myself. Many nurses successfully reach B1/B2 level through dedicated self-study or structured courses before applying.

3 · Relocation process & paperwork

Yes. We give you clear, structured guidance, so you know exactly which documents the German embassy in your home country needs and you can prepare well for your appointment.
Honestly, it varies. It depends on your home country, the German state your employer is in, embassy waiting times, and how fast your documents are translated and certified. If you already hold your B1/B2 certificate, the time from starting your application with us to landing in Germany is often around four to eight months. Thanks to Germany's recognition partnership (Anerkennungspartnerschaft), you can often begin working before your full recognition is complete — your Anerkennung, including any required adaptation period or knowledge exam, may continue after you arrive. We will always give you a realistic estimate for your situation — never a false promise.
Many of our partner facilities offer temporary staff housing or housing assistance for your first months. We show these benefits on each Employer Profile, so you know exactly what is available before you accept an offer.
This is very common and nothing to worry about. If the recognition authority requires an adaptation period or exam, I’ll support you through it. Many of my partner employers have experience with this and offer structured help, so you can start working while completing the remaining requirements.

4 · Life in Germany & your family

Yes, in most cases. Once you have a job offer and visa approval, your spouse and children can usually join you, and your spouse may also be allowed to work. We guide you through the family reunification process and the documents needed.
Yes. We only work with employers who offer permanent contracts — never temporary or agency contracts. After your probation period (Probezeit), you have strong job security under German labour law.
Salaries vary by region, hospital, and experience. As a general guide, registered nurses typically earn between €2,800–€3,800 gross per month in the early years, with regular increases. You also receive around 30 days of paid holiday per year plus strong social benefits. We always show you the exact salary and benefits of each position before you decide.
We support you from your very first message until you are fully settled — including help during your first weeks, guidance with paperwork, and being available whenever challenges come up. Our goal is a stable, long-term career, not just a placement.
We support you throughout the entire process. If there are any issues with your recognition, we clearly explain your options and next steps. In many cases there are practical solutions such as an adaptation period or additional training. You are never left to handle this alone.
We only work with verified hospitals, clinics, and care homes in Germany. Every employer is screened before being added to the platform, and you always see clear, honest details about the position, salary, contract type, and any housing support before you decide to apply.

5 · For employers

A strict success-based model — no upfront retainers, no hidden search fees. Our placement fee applies only after a candidate signs a permanent contract and begins their first shift at your facility.
No — never. As a nurse-founded service, we understand the clinical floor. We strictly vet every candidate for B1/B2 German and clinical readiness before presenting a profile to your HR team.
We carefully review every candidate’s qualifications and German certificates during screening. Where needed, we verify documents directly with the issuing institution. The official recognition is then handled by the responsible German authorities.
In most cases we can present a shortlist of pre-screened, qualified nurses within 4 to 8 weeks after you sign the partnership agreement. We always give you a realistic timeline based on your specific needs.
If a nurse leaves of their own choice before completing six months, you only pay the first half of the placement fee. We also continue supporting the nurse during this period to help resolve issues where possible.
Yes. We arrange online interviews so you can meet and assess candidates before making any hiring decision. Many employers prefer to interview early in the process.
No. We do not require exclusivity. You’re free to work with other recruitment partners at the same time.
We support every placed nurse with arrival logistics, Anmeldung, health insurance, bank account opening, and general settling-in help during the first weeks. Every placed nurse also receives up to €1,000 in Welcome Support paid directly to them — reducing the workload on your HR and ward teams and helping the nurse integrate faster.
We take time to understand your specific needs — ward type, shift patterns, experience level, and team culture — and only present nurses who match those requirements and hold the right clinical background and German level. This leads to better fits and higher long-term retention.
